Regardless of age, circumstances, or anything else, improving your educational situation is for you. KSL.com shared a story of a 101-year-old woman enrolling at BYU-Idaho. Whether you are a Senior in High School or 101 years old, it IS possible to achieve or improve upon your education.
Brigham Young said:
“Education is the power to think clearly, the power to act well in the world’s work, and the power to appreciate life.” Brigham Young, quoted by George H. Brimhall in "The Brigham Young University,", Improvement Era, vol. 23, no. 9 (July 1920), p. 831.
President Russell M. Nelson said:
“Education is yours to obtain. No one else can gain it for you. Wherever you are, develop a deep desire to learn. For us as Latter-day Saints, gaining an education is not just a privilege, it is a religious responsibility. The glory of God is intelligence. Indeed, our education is for the eternities. ... Don’t be afraid to pursue your goals — even your dreams! There is no shortcut to excellence and competence. Education is the difference between wishing you could help other people and being able to help them.”
Don’t overthink it; take it one step at a time. Our goal as Education Specialists and Mentors is to help you through this process, line upon line, and help you remove any barriers to improving your education.
