Addiction’s destructive behaviors negatively affect not only the addicted individual but their loved ones. The Church’s “Addiction Recovery Program” and its accompanying “Help for Spouses and Family Program” shares steps and principles of hope, guidance and healing available to each of us through the Savior’s Atonement. Anonymous, confidential and understanding help is available in weekly meetings that can be found by opening this link. We welcome you in joining others who started this healing path before you.

Latter-Day Prophets Speak“Spiritually Defining Memories” by Elder Neil L. Andersen General Conference, April 2020 “Eighteen years after the First Vision, the Prophet Joseph Smith wrote an extensive account of his experience. He had faced opposition, persecution, harassment, threats and brutal attacks. Yet he continued to boldly testify of his First Vision…In his difficult hours, Joseph’s memory reached back nearly two decades to the certainty of God’s love for him and the events that welcomed in the long-foretold Restoration. Reflecting on his spiritual journey, Joseph said: ‘I don’t blame any one for not believing my history. If I had not experienced what I have, I would not have believed it myself.’ But the experiences were real, and he never forgot or denied them, quietly confirming his testimony as he moved to Carthage. ‘I am going like a lamb to the slaughter,” he said, “but I am calm as a summer’s morning; I have a conscience void of offense towards God, and towards all men’ (Doctrine and Covenants 135:4).” |
