Emergency Preparedness - Communication

Level I

Develop a family communication plan that will be useful for 28 days or longer

  • Cell phone (if available)
  • Family radio (walkie talkie)
  • Written notes (placed in a designated place with extra paper and pencils/pens)

Level II

Develop a family communication plan that will be useful for 90 days or longer

  • Designate a meeting place
  • Designate an out-of-area contact
  • Designate evacuation routes

Level III

Develop a family communication plan that will be useful for 365 days or longer

  • Chargeable communication device to last over 365 days
