Emergency Preparedness - Grab & Go Bags

Level I

3 meals/day for each person for 4 days

  • MRE, Protein/Granola/Energy bars, dried fruit, trail mix, crackers, dry cereal, beef jerky, peanut butter, canned meats/food, etc
  • Mess kit (utensils, plates, bowls, cups)
  • 1 bottle water/meal
  • Change of clothes
  • Small first-aid-kit
  • Small hygiene kit
  • Whistle
  • Money
  • Toy/stuffed animal (for small children)

Level II

3 meals/day for each person for 28 days

  • Add more ways to cook without power
  • Add more ways to purify water
  • Add more ways to charge without power
  • Add more ways to store documents

Level III

3 meals/day for each person for 365 days

  • Car kit (practice using for 1-2 days)
  • Musical instruments
  • Coloring and reading books with colored pencils
