Emergency Preparedness - First-aid and First-aid Kits

Level I

1 first-aid kit/person or a family first-aid kit for 30 days or longer

Become First aid certified  
Assorted adhesive bandages  
Sterile gauze pads 12 (4in x 4in)
Roller bandage 2
Antiseptic wipe packets 12
Antibiotic ointment packets 12
Packets of aspirin and or ibuprofen 36 (or 1 50ct bottle)
Hydrocortizone ointment packets 12 (or 1 1oz tube)
Scissors 1
Tweezers 1
Oral thermometer (non-mercury/non-glass) 1
Needed items for daily or monthly family support*
Exam gloves 12
Antihistimane  
Inhaler (for those with Asthma) 1 (rotate!)
Epi Pen (Where applicable)

*Special needs are (but not limited to) family members with conditions that require special treatment with prescription or daily medications, severe allergies, etc.

Level II

  • Upgrade your family first-aid kit to have enough supplies for 90 days or longer
  • Add trauma shears to first-aid kit
  • Add CPR mask to first-aid kit
  • Add blanket o first-aid kit (mylar, wool, cotton, etc.)
  • Add water to first-aid kit (bottle, packets)
  • Become First aid certified

Level III

  • Upgrade your family first-aid kit to have enough supplies for 365 days or longer
  • Add Level I basic first-aid kit to each vehicle
  • Add more blankets to first-aid kit (mylar, wool, cotton, etc.)
  • Add hard candy or protein bar to first-aid kit
  • Add N95 masks to first-aid kit
  • Complete CERT training
